Introduction
For this project we used an accelerometer to monitor the way people walk so we could create a predictive model. By using the information about acceleration forward/backwards, up/down and left/right, we were able to create our predictive model.

Concepts Used
Accelerometer: A device that measures the physical acceleration experienced by an object.
Acceleration: The rate of change of velocity. Second derivative of position.
Dynamicity: In terms of gait analysis, the quantification of variations in kinematic or kinetic parameters within a step.
Gait: The stride of a human as s/he moves his/her limbs.
Metric: A quantitative indicator of a characteristic or attribute.
Model: In technology, a description of observed or predicted behavior of some system, simplified by ignoring certain details. Models allow complex systems to be understood and their behavior predicted.
Period: The distance for a graph to complete 1 cycle
Symmetry: In terms of gait analysis, the quantification of differences between left-foot and right-foot steps.
Variability: In terms of gait analysis, the quantification of fluctuations from one stride to the next.

Reflection
This was a hard project. The questions we were trying to answer and the problems we were trying to solve weren't clear; however, we figured out how we were supposed to do the project and got it finished. The biggest 2 challenges of this project were understanding what was being asked of us and trying to find time to finish the project. It was hard to figure out what was being asked because there were so many new concepts and ideas to understand. Timing was also difficult because at the end of the project our whole group began work on the plane and had to find time at home to finish the report and presentation. One thing that my team did well was figuring out what the questions meant. We originally took data incorrectly, and after a little while we were able to figure that out and recollect data to correctly do the project. My group also did a good job of figuring out an equation to predict height based on how someone walks. This was hard because we didn't get as much time to collaborate with other groups, but we were able to figure it out.
